Reverend Dr. Milton N. Lemon
Pastor

Reverend Dr. Milton Nathaniel Lemon, a native of Summerton, South Carolina has been the pastor of Community Baptist Church for the past 40 years. He came to Community in the bicentennial year of 1976. He is married to Savada W. Lemon, has two daughters, two sons-in-law, and three granddaughters. He is a graduate of the Maryland Baptist School of Religion-Virginia Seminary Extension, from which he received a Bachelor of Arts in Theology in May 1976 and his Master of Divinity in Theology in May 1980. In July 1987, he was awarded an honorary Doctorate Degree of Divinity from the Maryland Theological Seminary. He is a member of the United Baptist Missionary Convention of Maryland and auxiliaries where he has served as chairman of the Home Missions Committee, and as Chairman of the Pastor's Welfare Committee and has also served as a member of the Hampton University Ministers Conference Executive Board. Reverend Lemon has enjoyed a long and fruitful tenure at the Community Baptist Church.

Reverend John Morant Jr.
Reverend John Morant Jr. is the eldest son of Elder John and Glenda Morant Sr. Reverend Morant accepted Jesus as his personal Savior under the pastoral leadership of the late Dr. Arthur E. Jones at Jones Tabernacle Baptist Church. It was there at the Tabernacle that Reverend Morant received his Christian training as a Junior Usher, Sunday School Teacher, Associate Minister and Jr. Deacon. In 1995, Reverend Morant joined Community Baptist Church under the pastoral leadership of Dr. Milton N. Lemon. It is here at Community that Reverend Morant is a Sunday School Teacher, Associate Minister, and Evangelism Ministry Coordinator. Reverend Morant is married to the former Melissa Barnes and from this union, God has blessed them with two sons, John David Morant III (Kaliah) and Jalen Christopher Morant.
Reverend Harry Bowie

A native of Paris, Maryland and son of the late Martha and Frank Bowie, Reverend Bowie attended the public schools of Calvert and Prince Georges County and is a graduate of the class of 1968 from Fairmont Heights High School. Since receiving the Lord as his personal Savior, Rev. Bowie has become an avid student of the scriptures. His religious pursuits have lead him to matriculate at several religious schools in the Baltimore Area. Experienced in prison ministry, Rev. Bowie is currently serving as an Associate Minister of Community Baptist Church. Rev. Bowie is conscientious in his efforts to aid and assist the pastor and to assume a salient role in the teaching of adult classes at the Community Baptist Church. He continues to preach at other churches, the Westminster Rescue Mission and the By Grace Counseling Center.
